Don’t Let the Chair Kill You aka Pinoccio real-time analog read
This was an experiment I did in 2014 to see if I could passively detect and document how much I was sitting in front of a computer. I duct taped a flex sensor to the chair post, which would bend when someone sat. The outcome was then sent to the lead scout and the Pinoccio api to render to a graphic display.
My cat often stole my chair, so I tried to detect her as well, but the chair and flex sensor weren’t sensitive enough and unreliable. Keeping the Pinoccio charged while on the chair was the biggest obstacle.
